These are the kits available for download on this page. Please consult the Installation instructions below to determine which kit you need.
  1. Voodoo3 3500TV U.S.Win9x Drivers - Version 1.04.00
    • This kit does not contain DirectX 7 runtime. You must install for the drivers to work properly. These driver kits include: Voodoo3 2D and 3D display drivers, 3dfx Tools, and VisualReality(TM) for U.S. customers

  2. Voodoo3 3500TV European Win9x Drivers - Version 1.04.00
    • This kit does not contain DirectX 7 runtime. You must install for the drivers to work properly. These driver kits include: Voodoo3 2D and 3D display drivers, 3dfx Tools, and VisualReality(TM) for European customers

  3. Voodoo3 3500TV Japan Win9x Drivers - Version 1.04.00
    • This kit does not contain DirectX 7 runtime. You must install for the drivers to work properly. These driver kits include: Voodoo3 2D and 3D display drivers, 3dfx Tools, and VisualReality(TM) for Japanese Customers

  4. ULead Webpatch
    • This patch updates the ULead video editing software to the most current version.

Installation Instructions

FRESH INSTALLATION
NOTE: Complete Steps 1 and 2 before removing your existing 2D card.
  1. Before removing your existing 2D card switch the video driver to Standard VGA. Click Start, Control Panel. Double-click on Display.
    • Select 640X480 and 16 colors. Accept the changes.
  2. Power off the system and remove your existing 2D card.
  3. Install the Voodoo3 Card in a free AGP or PCI Slot
  4. Power on the system and verify that video appears during P.O.S.T.
  5. Start Windows in normal mode
    • (Once Windows starts you may be notified that no video device exists, click Cancel if this message appears)
  6. Now follow sections A, B and C below

UPGRADE EXISTING VOODOO3 DRIVER
NOTE: Follow sections A, B and C.

SECTION A: INSTALLING THE DRIVER
  1. Open the directory where the files were extracted to.
  2. Select Drivers\Win98\Setup.Exe
  3. When prompted if you wish to install the driver, click 'Yes'.
  4. If you are installing the driver only, restart Windows at this point. You will not be prompted to restart automatically. If you are installing 3dfx Tools as well, proceed directly to section B without restarting Windows.
SECTION B: INSTALLING 3DFX TOOLS
  1. Uninstall all previous versions of 3dfx Tools if applicable.
  2. Open the directory where the files were extracted to.
  3. Select 3dfxTool\Setup.Exe
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. When prompted if you wish to restart your computer, click 'Yes'.
SECTION C: INTALLING VISUALREALITY
  1. Uninstall all previous versions of VisualReality if applicable. Note: It is not necessary to uninstall Visual Reality. If you do, it will remove any customizations you had previously set.
  2. Open the directory where the files were extracted to.
  3. Select 3dfx_VR\Setup.Exe
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

All 3dfx drivers are subject to the 3dfx software license agreement.
